HERE Arts Center

Staged like an actual local government meeting, complete with cable-access style video, CITY COUNCIL MEETING attempts to uncover what qualifies one for leadership and makes us civilized. With a base group of actors playing a support staff and a few distinct city characters, the piece breaks new ground by inviting the audience to take on roles themselves. Rewritten and restaged locally in each city where it's presented, HERE will present the NYC production of CCM at Chelsea High School, LaGuardia Community College, and El Museo del Barrio.
