I am planning to reach out to the communities within and adjacent to Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, the city where MANCC (Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography) is located and to engage with local organizations (social justice and immigrant rights groups, local NAACP, etc.) to conduct various community engagement events including movement workshops, long table discussions, and scholarly lectures on race and dance and/or critical whiteness.
