7 Stages

7 Stages will present GOMELA / TO RETURN: Movement of our Mother Tongue directed by Stephanie McKee as part of our 39th season. Direct from New Orleans, Junebug Productions takes us through time and space illuminating the vibrant and percussive stories that breathe life into hope, courage, and expression. In GOMELA, the beauty and resilience of black people, past and present, is celebrated through spoken word, African dance and music. The residency will include at least four public performances and outreach activities including workshops for emerging and professional artists, and community dialogues.
