Liz Helfer

I plan to attend a graduate-level class through the Harvard Extension School titled Close Looking: Pedagogies in Practice. Taught by Dr. Jen Thum and Jeanne Burke from the Harvard Art Museums, the course “will explore what close looking can look like for various types of audience and imagine creative ways to engage viewers longer and more deeply.” The class will help me develop skills for audience engagement both for my own sculptures and for opportunities I oversee.
