Lenora Lee Dance

Dance collaborator & Rehearsal director Johnny Nguyen will visit the Pier 16 & Wavertree to meet with museum staff, and historians to do research with Lenora Lee regarding the topic of the project. This part of the tour requires additional resources and time at the NYC venue, given we are integrating NYC based dancers and teaching them existing choreography, in addition to creating new material, and building the piece as an immersive performance on Wavertree. This NDP Travel Fund grant is invaluable given the number of times Johnny and Lenora need to travel to NYC to craft the piece, and garner support and partnerships to make this leg of the project a success.
