Rude Mechanicals

1000 Plateaus is a newly-devised theater work created to expose the vestigial mechanisms and obsolete structures which dictate the rhythms and formats of our daily lives. Rude Mechs will start with the premise that an understanding of why the world works the way it does can free us to make other choices and allow us to live differently. Using history, myth, mathematics, and ritual, 1000 Plateaus will reveal the many patterns and rhythms of our world which are regulated by dead gods and forgotten rites. In short, if knowledge is power, then knowledge of mysteries can lead to mysterious powers.
