As part of its 2011-12 concert season, the Providence Singers is presenting Britten's War Requiem with the New England Philharmonic, Chorus Pro Musica, and the Boston Children's Chorus in Providence on March 4, 2012. This performance partnership will be the basis for providing educational activities and materials to audience members so they may fully experience the musical and historical impact of this towering 20th century work. This performance will mark the 50th anniversary of its premiere.
