Everything is Getting Better All the Time, choreographed by Artistic Director Barnes, will depict strong Americana influences amidst quirky movement invention and gestures, irreverent humor, theatricality, and choreographic virtuosity. An exploration of movement that juxtaposes the elegant with the socially awkward will enable the audience to identify and empathize with the performers, for whom Barnes makes roles that are often warm-hearted portrayals of funny and flawed characters. Segments of popular music will be paired with the work to lend thematic influence.
