Mohawk Trail Concerts chose to present Alica Parker because as a distinguished member of our local community, her setting the words of a local poet Carol Purington demonstrates the richness of artistic talent that this area possesses close at hand. Composer Alice Parker will be available for Q&A demonstration and discussion of the work-in-progress in local libraries, for pre-arranged session at the Charlemont Federated Church as well as at the July 2012 performance of the completed work.
