Litchfield Performing Arts/Litchfield Jazz Festival

Litchfield Jazz Festival and Camp will host composer Avery Sharpe for a 3 week residency followed by a performance with his Ensemble at the 17th Annual Litchfield Jazz Festival. Activities include ensemble coaching, Artist Talks, panel discussions, and more, plus the commission. The project is based on the story of Sojourner Truth, an African American abolitionist and woman's rights activist, who was born a slave.
