Litchfield Performing Arts/Litchfield Jazz Festival

Mr. Pavone will create three pieces (one per week) for and with a large student ensemble who have advanced theory skills. He will be assisted by musician/composer/educators George Schuller (the son of the great composer Gunther Schuller and himself a fine composer), Russ Johnson, and Dave Ballou. The works will be performed by the ensemble with the professionals 7/27, 8/3, and 8/9/12. The style is structured and improvisational and theory-based for an exciting end product(s).
