Kelly Church (Grand Traverse Band, Ottawa and Ojibwe) expanded her knowledge of basketmaking and materials through an exchange with Passamaquoddy master weaver Molly Neptune-Parker in Bar Harbor, ME. Neptune-Parker demonstrated Passamaquoddy basketweaving techniques, and Church taught Neptune-Parker about the making of a black ash bark basket.
