Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre of Boston

The project is to develop a life-size bronze figure, “Hope”, sculpted by prizewinning local artist David Kasman, based on a seminal work (1993, Isle of the Dead) of Cambridge choreographer José Mateo.  The installation is schedule to coincide with the culminating event of the organization’s 25th anniversary – the Annual Dance for World Community Festival - to be held on June 11, 2011 and will honor the 25 years of achievement of José Mateo.
