Zili Misik is a 7-member all-female band forging musical links between Africa and the Americas through lively musical fusion. FirstWorks presents Zili Misik as part of the FirstWorks Festival 2012. Zili Misik will conduct a lecture/demo for public school students in each of four school districts, a public concert, and an Artist Up Close conversation. Zili Misik will also kick off Say It With Jazz, a 4-month project culminating in Providence’s first performance by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra.
