Grant Amount:
$600 Boston Classical Guitar Society will commission Anthony De Ritis to compose a work for the Boston Guitar Orchestra (BGO) to be premiered at Festival 21, an annual festival dedicated to new music for the guitar. BGO is an amateur ensemble committed to the promotion of the arts in New England through the performance and creation of guitar ensemble music while building an inclusive community of participants and audiences. BGO members will benefit educationally from working with the composer and will also play it at future outreach events.
