119 Gallery presents Jane Boxall performing on solo marimba. This event will open to the community. Jane will conduct a percussion workshop the following day. This workshop will include a discussion of Gamelan music with members of Lowell's SE Asian community; students from the Artbotics programs at Lowell HS and Umass Lowell; and members of the Lowell Gamelan Project, which is developing both traditional and computer-controlled percussion instruments. She will also welcome guests to an open rehearsal the night before the solo concert.
