Pathways is a public art project created through a collaboration of The Fitchburg Cultural Alliance, The City of Fitchburg, Fitchburg State University.

Please join us for the ribbon cutting of the Pathways artwork that celebrates the entrance to Fitchburg’s historical and cultural downtown. The project team has integrated community ideas and involvement throughout the design of Pathways.  

The central theme of the artwork is the pattern that the river and rails create as they travel through the landscape. This public artwork is composed of sculpted details that tell a story, touch on the rich history of Fitchburg and ultimately converge to honor the future of the City.   Pathways was funded by: Fitchburg Cultural Alliance, Massachusetts Cultural Council, New England Foundation for the Arts, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, DeMoulas Foundation.
