Code Listen 3.0 | Shaw Pong Liu
Code Listen 3.0 invites a citywide conversation on violence, racism, and police practices through public performances during Homicide Survivor Awareness Month (Nov 20- Dec 20 2018). The performances will include an original music composition by lead artist Shaw Pong Liu, commissioned by the Celebrity Series of Boston; live music performance by a collaborative ensemble of homicide survivors, Boston police, youth, and professional musicians; a public memorial of memorial posters for homicide victims; and community dialogue about violence, racism, and police practices.

Dec 8 | Kroc Center in Dorchester; co-presented by Celebrity Series of Boston | 3 PM
Sweat It Out | Caitlin Foley, Heather Kapplow, Misha Rabinovich
Sweat it Out offers free wintertime public access to a beautiful, handmade mobile sauna (courtesy of the DS Institute) where they will host discussions about major areas of tension in the Boston area. They bring the rejuvenating health benefits of sweat bathing out of the spas and back to its community-strengthening origins, and then apply the well-being and camaraderie it generates towards resolving community dissonance and disputes.
Sweat it Out will happen in beautiful, MBTA-accessible Fort Point. The rapid real estate development in this neighborhood will lend itself to conversations about how Boston's desire for this kind of growth may be in conflict with maintaining authentic local character.
For one month, the Fort Point Artists Community’s gallery in the Envoy Hotel becomes a safe, welcoming space for creative conversation about local and nationwide conflicts, in towels.
