Through music, informal education and an enterprise platform, The Nile Project addresses the cultural and environmental challenges of the Nile basin. Explore how touring activities throughout New England served as a model for deep collaboration across countries, states, sectors and types of presenting organizations - and a greater understanding of global issues.

Center Stage: Artists from Abroad in American Communities
NEFA's Adrienne Petrillo will serve on the panel.
Center Stage, an international exchange initiative of the U.S. Department of State and NEFA, contextualizes cultural participation as citizen diplomacy.  Artists and presenters discuss how a perspective of shared cultural engagement reframes strategies for community engagement, and provides opportunities for ongoing dialogue and partnerships outside the concert hall.  Moderated by Ben Johnson, UCLA.  Panelists: Adrienne Petrillo, NEFA; May Baptista, U.S. Department of State; Eric Fliss, South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center
