NDP Touring grants support the engagement of NDP-funded projects. Performing arts presenters and other nonprofit organizations may receive fee subsidy grants for the presentation of any of the season’s NDP-supported projects.
Touring grants are paid directly to presenters to cover up to 50% of the artistic fee. Note: this is an increased allowance this year, recognizing the challenges in the current economy.
NDP has reserved $40,000 in touring subsidy per project to be allocated to presenters for up to 50% of the artistic fee per engagement. NDP will work to make additional funds available to projects that can utilize more than the initial allocation. Tour coordinators may indicate need for this increased allocation when they submit their initial tour grids.
As of August 2009, NDP grants have supported more than 230 new dance works involving over 300 presenters of dance in more than 4,300 performances and 7,500 community activities. NDP has reached over 2.5 million audience members and funds tours to an average of 36 states annually.

- March 2, 2010: Presenters submit letters of intent due to tour coordinators; tour coordinators submit interim tour grids to NEFA; initial tour grids reviewed by NEFA.
STAGE 2
