About Public Art Connections
Public Art Connections pairs nonprofit organizations with professional artists to plan and/or create a site-specific, contemporary, public artwork in the local community. Public Art Connections matches organizations with artists through a two step application process. First nonprofit community-based organizations apply to be paired with an artist. Once community organizations and project sites have been selected, NEFA works with a panel of experts and local community members to select artists or artist teams for each project.
Artist and Community pairs receive funding to plan a public art project for the local community. All projects have heavy community input, must be site-specific and may include: public art master plans, installations, exhibitions, interpretive media, festivals and performances.
Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to apply.
