Idea Swap logoThe Idea Swap is an annual event for New England-based nonprofit presenting organizations to network and share project ideas that may qualify for funding from NEFA’s Expeditions grant program.

NEFA's 9th Annual Idea Swap will take place on November 3, 2010 at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA.

Have an Idea?  Ways to connect with colleagues

PRESENT your project at the Idea Swap:

  • Post your project idea online as a classified on www.matchbook.org: click “search classifieds,” then click “post a classified.”  Be sure to select the "NEFA's Idea Swap" category. 

    Each project presentation will be allotted approximately five minutes and must include artist work samples, such as a DVD or CD.  Creative presentations, which may include the featured artist, are encouraged!

BROWSE & POST other ideas before the Idea Swap:

  • Visit www.matchbook.org and click "search classifieds"
  • Select the category "NEFA's Idea Swap" to browse what others have posted, OR
  • Select "post a classified" to add your idea to the Expeditions Projects category

Other opportunities for sharing your project idea include networking time, small group presentations, and the more informal "open mic" presentations.  The open mic presentations are selected from a list of those who have signed up throughout the day.  Display tables are available to all participants for sharing promotional materials. If you are unable to attend but would like to send materials for distribution please contact Adrienne Petrillo at apetrillo@nefa.org

9:30 AM - 10:00 AM   Coffee & Conversation; Meet NEP and APNNE members and learn how these  organizations are vital to New England's presenting landscape

10:00 AM - 10:045 AM   Overview of NEFA's Expeditions program

10:45 AM - 11:00 AM   Break

11:00 AM - 12:15 PM   Project Presentations

12:15 PM - 1:15 PM      Lunch

1:15 PM - 2:30 PM         Small Group Project Presentations: Participants will be divided into groups to discuss projects in theater, music, dance, and other disciplines.

2:30 PM - 3:15 PM   Project Presentations

3:15 PM - 3:30 PM   Open Mic Presentations
