Meet the Composer/New England
Meet the Composer/New England has merged with New Music USA; read below for details on this transition. Grant evaluations for past grant recipients are available below.
For many years, NEFA proudly administered the Meet the Composer/ New England grant program, in partnership with Meet the Composer, Inc. and with additional support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the six New England state arts agencies. In 2011, Meet the Composer, Inc., merged with the American Music Center to become New Music USA; as a result of the merger, funding for Meet the Composer/New England is no longer available.
NEFA is committed to continuing support for projects that inspire community interaction with composers, and encourages previous Meet the Composer/New England applicants to learn about NEFA’s other funding opportunities, including New England States Touring (NEST) and Expeditions, in addition to resources available through the six New England state arts agencies.
New Music USA is a new organization that will serve music-makers and their audiences. They are maintaining all the core programming of the American Music Center and Meet the Composer, Inc., including eight central grantmaking programs.
