Maddie McDougall

I am pursuing opportunities to attend an artist's residency focused on peer discussion, meaningful community engagement, and strategies for producing a more inclusive future for the arts. This learning experience will help me move towards my career goal to establish a Springfield based arts to develop inner-city youth as leaders for social change. In pursuing this residency opportunity, I will be able to research effective methods of public engagement intersecting with the arts, and network with other artists implementing a social practice. By traveling outside of my region, I can expand my perspectives on public art and challenge my biases, returning with new skills and renewed energy.
