Litchfield Jazz Festival/Camp

2021 marks the 25th Anniversary of Litchfield Jazz Camp. Whether it goes forward live, virtual or combination of both, it will be a resplendent year, following the organization's accomplishments in 2020 without a roadmap, while assailed by a pandemic and its attendant challenges. Avery Sharpe has been part of programming for many years. He's served as a master teacher, a performer, a mentor, a moderator, a cheerleader for young careers and a health influencer whose presentations on nutrition and healthy lifestyle -- and his personal example -- inspire students and younger teaching staff alike. A 25th LJC celebration would be incomplete without the great master bassist Avery Sharpe.
