J Michael Winward

"Insider Ballroom" is a dance theater production by Holly Stone & J Michael Winward. The performance blends professional ballroom dancing of the “American Smooth” competitive category, with personal storytelling from the performers. The funding requested will partially support a next phase of work in the development of "Insider Ballroom," a residency at The Dance Complex that will include the debut of an expanded version of the performance, a gender-expansive ballroom dance workshop, and a social dance with mini-lesson. All events will be free and open to the public.
