Overview
AMD Touring Grants provide funding for the distribution and presentation (touring) of dance work.  Funds support artists costs related to touring the work. Touring grant subsidies can be up to 30% of the contracted artistic fee and are paid directly to presenters. Touring Grants fall into two categories:

  • Touring Grants for projects that have received an AMD Reconstruction Grant, listed in the pdf 2007 AMD Grant Guidelines [604k].
  • Touring Grants for Tour Only supported projects that have not received an AMD Reconstruction Grant, but have been nominated for AMD Tour Only Support.

  • Presenters must have given their permission to be listed on the application form.
  • A United States tour of the project must occur in the season for which Tour Only Support is awarded, which is June 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009.

Letters of Intent should be typed on presenter letterhead, and signed by both the presenter and the artist or their representative. The should be sent directly to the project's Tour Coordinator.
