Chris Schlichting

Stripe Tease is a new work for six dancers and three musicians created by Minnesota-based choreographer Chris Schlichting in collaboration with composer Jeremy Ylvisaker and visual/installation artist Jennifer Davis. The work investigates how parallel languages can emerge in a shared space and simultaneous generative processes, such as music and visual arts, and how this yields new ways to experience and interpret the world. The work received a National Performance Network (NPN) Creation Fund grant and will premiere at the Walker Art Center in February 2015.
