In this campus-based residency, Forklift will engage students and faculty/staff in a community-based, art-making process designed to forge a social bridge between these two groups. Forklift will bring together students & the college’s food service team in the creation and performance of a new work. "Served" will be a choreographic work based in the movements and performed by the food service workers. The residency will center on the vital role of relationship building in community-based art making practice. Its aim is to broaden awareness of the critical contributions food service workers. A toolkit also will be created as a map for artists/presenters to create community-based art.
