Artist Jonathan Perry plans create an art installation on the Boston commons, consisting of a traditional structure representing a shade arbor, fishing nets, and work space from which to hang handmade copper representations of fish species important to Boston’s Back Bay. Having worked as a cultural consultant for the Boston Ancient Fishweir Project (which also took place on the Boston Commons), Jonathan hopes to again call attention to and educate the public about Boston’s Native presence, both past and present.
